Wash and Fold Services

We offer per pound wash and fold services to out-of-town travelers, working professionals, families, and commercial establishments. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit cards, and debit cards. For wash and fold service, you may drop-off your laundry, schedule a pick-up and delivery by registering online, or calling 240-435-8752.

Commercial Accounts

We offer commercial accounts for restaurants, hotels, respites etc. Setting up a commercial account is quite easy and you may inquire by phone (8am to 5:30pm).

To start a commercial account, complete the registration form and we will contact you to finalize your registration. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Initial order payments will be made using Paypal, and we will send you an electronic invoice outlining any additional charges. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept personal checks, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Pick-up and Delivery

Taking advantage of our pick-up and delivery service is the best way to maximize your time and save on gas. Our minimum charge for this service is $18.20 (minimum charge for all orders) and this charge is equal to a pickup and delivery of 14 pounds of bulk laundry.

If your order is less than 14 pounds, we will still charge you the above minimum charge. All laundry must be placed or available for pick-up no later than the time you specify in your order. We will do our very best to collect your order on or within an hour from the specified pick-up time.

Please be sure that your laundry bags are placed in an easily visible area (e.g. car port, porch, back yard, or driveway). If you are located in an apartment building or complex, have someone present to give us your laundry (e.g. a concierge, lobby attendant, neighbor, or friend). You must provide an access code, if required to enter your building or complex.

Regularly scheduled pickups are available for individual and commercial accounts. For all customers with regular pick-ups, we will provide two laundry bags for $8.00, which will include a name card for each bag.

You may check to see if your laundry is ready by logging on or calling 240-435-8752.

If we arrive at your address and you fail to make your laundry available for pickup, we will count it as an “Incomplete Run”. Your credit card will still be charged the minimum service fee of $18.20, and you will have to personally drop-off your order.

Important Note: We are not responsible for stolen laundry. Therefore, if you live in an apartment building or areas of concern, it is advisable to have someone present during pickups and deliveries.

Cleaning Process

Utilizing premium laundry detergents and softeners, our wash and fold process consists of two wash cycles and two rinse cycles for a thorough clean. All articles of clothing are separated according to color: whites, light/bright colors, and dark colors.

For easy transport, we shrink-wrap to bundle and protect your fresh, clean clothes. To make your storage task easier, we organize clothing types as best as we can (e.g. adult clothing, children’s clothing, and bedding).

Detergents and Softeners

High quality detergents help to maintain to look of your garments, as well as your personal comfort. Therefore, we never use off/generic brand detergents or softeners. We proudly use your choice of Cheer, Tide, Gain, Allergy Safe (Environmentally Friendly), or Dreft for baby clothes. For softening, we use Bounce or Downy fabric softener sheets.

Hygienic Management

One of the most important aspects of our wash and fold service is our meticulous attention to hygienic management.

Hygienic management is our system of assuring that your clothing is handled in a clean and sanitary manner. Therefore, we handle and wash each customer’s clothing separately from others.

Self Serve

Our washers and dryers are top-quality commercial equipment, which provide you with a superior clean. For your convenience, we provide forty-eight washers and forty-two dryers for an efficient laundering experience.

At First Laundromat, we accept cash for self-serve washing and we offer bill changers on the premises for your convenience ($5, $10, $20). We also accept Visa, Mastercard, debit cards. Additionally, we provide ATM cash advances ($2.00 service fee).

Laundering Days

The optimal (best) days to complete your laundry are Tuesday through Thursday, as they are usually the least crowded. Weekends and Mondays are usually crowded, with Sundays being the most crowded day.
